Eclipse II Mattress Overlay System

The Eclipse II Mattress Overlay System is a highly efficient, yet cost effective alternating system for both the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers. The Eclipse II mattress overlay is suitable for those patients who are at Medium to High Risk of developing pressure ulcers. With clinical and cost effectiveness paramount, the Eclipse II mattress overlay is both easy to install and operate, and along with the CPR facility, is suitable for both hospital and homecare environments.

Infection Control

  • The multi stretch PU cover is waterproof, vapour permeable and impregnated with Acti-fresh biocide to help prevent the build up of bacteria and ensure it can be easily cleaned to aid disinfection protocols
  • White inner substrate (underside of the cover) helps auditing procedures by making staining easy to identify
  • High frequency welded seams and integral covered hoses reduce the risk of fluid ingress
  • The entire mattress cell system and cover can be completely removed and laundered up to 80°C to aid decontamination protocols
  • The simple tactile control panel can be easily wiped clean to ensure there is no harbouring of pathogens unlike traditional dials and switched

Pressure Area Care

  • Weight setting technology incorporated into the pump unit adjusts the internal cell pressure according to the selected patient weight
  • Alternating pressure mode provides optimum pressure relief and comfort for patients who are considered to be at Medium to High Risk of developing pressure ulcers
  • The Eclipse II pump unit can be used to operate the Eclipse alternating cushion range to provide continuous pressure area care 24 hours a day

Ease of Use

  • 20 minute timed static mode allows the carer enough time to position or prepare the patient on a firm support surface before automatically reverting back to alternating mode
  • Auto lock out function prevents any unauthorised setting changes to the pump unit
  • Easy access and simple to use CPR tag allows rapid deflation of the mattress within 10 seconds to aid emergency procedures

Service and Maintenance

  • Audible and visual alarms alert the career in dual format if the system encounters a power failure or low pressure problem
  • Built in service technology enables the pump to detect mechanical failure; the service light will illuminate to alert the carer
  • Easy access air filters help prolong the life and reliability of the pump unit
  • Independent cell construction means that all parts i.e. cover, cells, tubing can be replaced to save ongoing maintenance costs
